A Little Advent – Keepsake Postcard Set by Iris Esther

A Little Advent – Four Sundays, Four Little Lights
I may have accidentally created the world’s simplest Advent calendar ever.

Just four illustrated postcards, four little verses, a touch of woodland magic and a beautiful keepsake folder to bring out again every year.

I wanted to create something small and meaningful. Something that wouldn’t be forgotten once Christmas had passed, but could become a little tradition to return to, year after year.

Each card represents one Sunday of Advent. As the weeks pass, another candle is lit, bringing a little more light into the winter darkness.

Inspired by the gentle rhythm of Waldorf Advent traditions, the first three lights honour the world of stones, plants and animals. The fourth traditionally celebrates humankind, but I couldn’t resist taking a little woodland detour and inviting the gnomes instead.

Together, the four illustrations tell a quiet story of nature, light and the anticipation of Christmas.

Whether displayed with  the little wooden stand, or paired with the postcard lamp these cards are an invitation to slow down and find wonder in the smallest moments.

My hope is that they bring a little warmth and magic into your home, not just for one Christmas, but for many Advent seasons to come.

A little more light, one Sunday at a time.
